About the Rangiora Hockey CLub
The Rangiora Hockey Club is the largest of the two hockey clubs in North Canterbury, drawing players from across the district. The club has benefitted from rapid population growth in and around Rangiora in recent years, and has seen significant increase in player numbers at all levels as a result.
As part of the Canterbury Hockey Associations competitions the RHC has achieved significant results in many grades, including championships in women's grades over many years. Many RHC players have been selected to Canterbury representative and NZ national teams, and as the club fosters more local talent we are looking forward to helping others achieve their playing and officiating goals. With the local Council investing in a brand new water hockey turf in the district the Rangiora Hockey Club's next goal is to consolidate its strong membership base, recruit more talent in the way of players, coaches and officials, and from there establish a competitive team in the Women's Canterbury Premiere League and a men's division 1 team. The Rangiora Hockey Club is run by a committee of passionate players, parents and hockey enthusiasts whose goal is to make the club one of Canterbury's best. |
